Following the 2013 highest-grossing animated movie (Frozen I) of all times comes “Frozen II”. In this six years’ gap, Disney pulled off an adventurous and interesting story that follows Elsa, the Queen of Arendelle as she discovers the origin of her power.

The sequel was initially set to hit the cinemas on 27 November before Disney heard of our needs to move the released date forward.
From the Academy Award winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel as Elsa, Kristen Bell as Anna, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff and Josh Gad as Olaf, Sterling K. Brown as Lieutenant Destiny, Alfred Molina as King Agnarr, Evan Rachel Wood as Queen Iduna, Jason Ritter as Ryder, Martha Plimpton as Yelana and Rachel Matthews as Honeymaren.
The story-line of Frozen II
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? This ponders on her mind as she journeys to find the answer as it threatens her kingdom. The trailer shows us how Elsa and Anna as young children were listening to the tales of the enchanted forest told by their father. Old enough now, Elsa realize that there is more to her powers.
Elsa accidentally causes a magical storm in Arendelle (as she also did in Frozen I) due to the strange voices she was hearing. We then hear and see Grand Pabbie, a troll telling Elsa to find who is calling her for they may have the answers she need. In order to save the kingdom, Elsa together with Anna (Elsa’s sister), Kristoff (Anna’s boyfriend), Olaf (the snowman) and Sven (Kristoff’s reindeer) embark on a dangerous yet adventurous journey.
In Frozen I, we saw that Elsa’s powers were too much for her to handle, but now in Frozen II, we fear and hope that her powers are enough to save what is to come. The trailer comes to an end were we see all characters walking through a huge wall of mist, battling dark forces including fire, Elsa riding a sea horse and the emergence of some mighty and terrifying stone monsters.
Disney has undoubtedly been on fire to become the first Hollywood company to have seven films released this year; Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel, Aladdin, The Lion King, Toy Story 4, Maleficent: Mistress of evil and now with the recent release of “Frozen II”.
Will this sequel match up to the first sequel “Frozen I” and probably hold the highest grossing animation of 2019? Will it beat other amazing animations like Toy story 4 which is still grossing over a billion dollars? Well, we can’t wait to see what happens in Frozen II as I am off to the cinemas to watch it! Hope you guys see it as well!
