The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has in its power reinstated a new law for traffic offenders alongside penalties for those who might want to indulge in the violation of traffic laws.
This new development is an indication that the new Babajide Sawo-Olu administration wants to enforce traffic law for the improvement in the free-flow of traffic. The 64 offences rolled out by the management with the statute and the penalties.
The sanctions range from N5,000 fine to N50,000, jail terms and forfeiture of vehicles.
LASTMA in a tweet urged all residents of the state to- “Ensure to #ObeyTrafficRules at all times #ForAGreaterLagos”.
