Four NDLEA officers murdered in Ondo

One out of the five officials of the Ondo State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has survived the attack by some unknown gunmen at the checkpoint located at lfon Division in Ose Local government area.

It was reported that the incident occurred on Sunday evening when the gunmen stormed the NDLEA checkpoint and opened fire at the five officers who were on duty. Four of the officers  were said to be been killed during this incident while the remaining escaped the scene unhurt.

The gunmen numbering three, suspected to be drug peddlers came on a motorcycle heavily armed and shot at the five NDLEA officers at the checkpoint. After the attack, they burnt the NDLEA Toyota Hilux and carted away with the rifles and personal belongings of the officers.

The NDLEA state commander,Mr Haruna Gagara, stated that there is a collaborative investigation ongoing with the police unit to make sure they bring the suspects to book.
