#EndSARS Memorial: Nigerian Youths hit streets of Lagos, Abuja

Soldiers and police officers opened fire on a gathering of peaceful, unarmed protestors at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos around this time last year.

Hundreds of young Nigerians marched through the streets of Abuja and Lagos to commemorate the event.

However, it looks like unfriendly and police officers have gathered in Lagos and Abuja to protect the calm and deter demonstrators.

Stern-looking and trigger-happy police officers have amassed in their hundreds in Lagos and Abuja to keep the peace and to keep protesters at bay.

They have earlier warned that protests in the streets won’t be allowed.

As a matter of fact, some peaceful protesters and journalists have been arrested.

The police has begun dispersing protesters at the Lekki toll in Lagos with teargas canisters.
