The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announces 566 new cases of coronavirus in the country.
On Monday, June 29, 2020, the total number of coronavirus cases rises to 25,133 in 19 states including Abuja. Lagos state records the highest number with 166 cases, 66 cases in Oyo, 53 cases in Delta, and 43 cases in Ebonyi.

NCDC records 34 cases in Plateau, 32 in Ondo, 26 in Abuja, 25 in Ogun, and 24 in Edo. Imo state record 15 cases, 13 in Bayelsa, 12 in Benue, and 11 cases each in Gombe, Kano, and Kaduna.
Osun record eight cases, seven cases in Nasarawa, five cases in Borno, and two cases each in Katsina and Anambra.

The death numbers have gotten to 573 as of June 29, 2020. Since the inception of its first case in February, 9,402 patients have been discharged. As of June 28, 2020, a total of 132,304 samples have been tested in Nigeria.

Lagos state still remains the major center of the pandemic having a total of 10,310 confirmed cases with a total of 1,592 recovery cases. Deaths amount to a total of 128.
FCT has taken the second lead with 1,818 cases while Oyo has 1,372 confirmed cases, taking the third lead.
Kano state takes fourth place with 1,211 cases. Rivers state is following closely with 1,056 confirmed cases.
