The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announces 575 new cases of coronavirus in the country.
On Monday, July 6th, 2020, the total number of coronavirus cases rises to 29,286 in 19 states including Abuja. Lagos state records the highest number with 123 confirmed cases.
Abuja is following closely with 100 cases, 58 cases in Delta, 52 cases in Edo, 42 cases in Ogun, and 24 cases in Katsina state.

NCDC records 23 cases in Bayelsa, 22 in Rivers, 19 in Borno, and 18 cases each in Plateau and Ondo. Oyo state record 17 new confirmed cases, 15 cases in Kwara, 13 cases in Osun, and nine new cases in Enugu.
Nasarawa state records seven cases of the virus, Abia has six cases, Cross river record five cases, three cases in Kaduna while Ekiti records ONE case.

The death numbers have gotten to 654 as of July 6, 2020. Since the inception of its first case in February, 11,828 patients have been discharged. As of July 04, 2020, a total of 151,121 samples have been tested in Nigeria.
Lagos state still remains the major center of the pandemic having a total of 11,367 confirmed cases with a total of 1,676 recovery cases as of July 5th.
FCT has the second lead with 2,281 cases while Oyo state has 1,530 confirmed cases, taking the third lead.
Edo state takes fourth place with 1,435 cases while Delta state is following closely with 1,285 confirmed cases.
