BET AWARDS 2020: Mega Thee Stallion defeat Nicki Minaj and Cardi B to win best female hip-hop awards

It was indeed a great night yesterday for the ‘savage’ Queen as she bagged two BET awards.

The BET Awards aired yesterday night, the 28th of June, via virtual media transmission. The prestigious award hosted by Amanda Seales saw very intriguing performances from different acts such as Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, Jay Rock, Jennifer Hudson amongst many.

However, one performance that enthralled viewers was that of Mega Thee Stallion’s. The post-apocalyptic setup imitate a similar arrangement to that ‘Mad Max’ film series. It was indeed a sight to behold as she performed her recent single Girls in the Hood as well “Savage” (featuring Beyoncé’s vocals from the remix edition).

The voguish act, Stallion would however go on to be among the top winners for the night as she beat hip-hop giants Cardi B and Nicki Minaj to win the best female hip-hop act and also viewers choice awards for her song, “Hot Girl Summer”.
