2,683 active COVID-19 cases fail to turn up for admission in Lagos State

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi says 2,683 confirmed patients in the state are yet to show up for admission.

Akin Abayomi said these patients are not showing due to fear of stigmatization and prefer home care.

The Commissioner for Health made this statement while giving an update on the COVID-19 cases in Lagos state.

Lagos state is the major center of the pandemic having a total of 10,144 cases; with a total of 1,592 recovery cases. Since its first inception in February, 128Β deaths have been confirmed so far.

We all need to stay safe as we don’t know those infected who are still out there. Wash your hands regularly, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, and have your face mask for protection.
